Until now, the event has raised over INR 315.9 crore, helping over 700 NGOs and reaching millions.Inaugurated in 2009 with a little over 30000 runners in its first edition, the MG Vadodara International Marathon has grown only in size but also in popularity with nearly 100000 participants in its 2019 edition! This year, the marathon’s charity partner was The Society for the Rehabilitation of Crippled Children. While the Tata Mumbai Marathon is a celebration of running, it is also about giving back to the community. In the marathon’s 2023 edition, runners could participate in any category-the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, Open 10K, Dream Run, Senior Citizens’ Run, Champions with Disability, or Virtual Run. One could also experience virtual running before race day through the Practice 5k feature. It let runners share their bib details, allowing friends and family to track their progress. This year, the app took the marathon a notch higher, with features such as runner tracking, leader board, live location, and more.
